Great news out of Cooper B-Line!
Cooper B-Line received notification that testing was successful and UL has approved our application to get our steel and aluminum shelves UL listed to the 1863 standard for communication circuit accessories.
The shelves have been added to the UL file number E171936 and listed to the weight ratings as listed in the new 2006 Comm/Data catalog. The parts listed include the follow part numbers:
SB745SXXXX* Low profile center mounted solid shelf
SB596SXXXX3* Double sided rack mounted solid shelf for 3" upright racks
SB596SXXXX6* Double sided rack mounted solid shelf for 6" upright racks
SB747SXXXX* Single sided rack mounted solid shelf
SB741SXX* CPU/Monitor rack mounted solid shelf with keyboard extension
SB596XXXX* Center mounted solid shelf
* = (S) for steel or (A) for aluminum
This has put us in a position to be technically competitive with Chatsworth , whose shelves are UL listed as well, and easily differentiate from most other vendors like Hoffman who do not hold a UL listing on their shelves. We also have a decent price advantage over CPI on the aluminum shelves and the new steel shelves will allow you to compete with Hoffman. New data sheets are being prepared, and as soon as they are completed, they will be made available as downloads. |
