Designing, configuring, even ordering cabinets for data and
telecom equipment storage is easy and hassle-free with the new Access
Cabinet Configurator software from Cooper B-Line.
This
configurator allows the designer and user to construct a cabinet to
their own specification by using a building block approach to select
cabinet components from the many options available. Once built, the
“virtual cabinet” can be rendered into a fully interactive 3D
model. A snapshot of the model can then be saved as an image file for
use in quotation or for later reference.
As
well as providing a detailed breakdown of each component used, this
software also builds up a convenient master part list with full
description for each item. This information can then be read by the
report generator to provide a detailed quote or customer inquiry,
complete with images previously generated in the configuration screen.
Once a configuration is finished, it can be easily stored and
retrieved as a project file. The software also includes a complete
list of catalog accessories that can be added to the bill of material
and the printed report.
The
software also includes a feature where the user can populate each
cabinet configuration with servers, routers, hubs, switching, monitors
and desired shelving to actual dimensions and U height location. After installation this equipment can be viewed with the
virtual 3D generator to ensure fit and availability for cabling
connectivity.
